Description word limit is not working

    I went to GD > Design > Description word limit
    But no matter what figure I add here from 10 to 100, the excerpt in the listings doesn’t change and continues to pull the full description through on the listings page.

    Hi,

    the function that limits the word count in the excerpt is standard wordpress function that hooks into the ‘the_content’ filter.

    I believe there is another plugin that is hooking in ìto the same filter and it overwrites our setting.

    Could you please try disable all non GD Plugin momentarely to see if I’m right and if we can spot which one it is?

    I disabled every single plugin, except for the GD ones, and no change.
    The full description remains in the listing results page.

    Hi,

    there is also an excerpt option in Avada settings >> Blog.

    You set excerpt with 500 words as limit.

    That is creating the issue, as both are using default wordpress excerpt function and the Avada option is overriding the GD option.

    I’ve asked to our developers to have a look and change hook priority so it isn’t changed by any theme or plugin option.
