There are a few membership plugins that will redirect different level users to different pages on login.
Like S2member, Front-End Only Users, etc.
    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

thank you for the quick answer. The main reason why I ask is my customer does not want usual users to have the ability to add locations, events etc. Is any of the plugins able to manage that? Right now, it is just that function, whih would be too much for the normal users.

    Regards,
    Atilla

I know S2member can handle that.
You can deny access to the add-listing page depending on the level of the user.

Ok but can it also hide the “my entries” and “add entries” links from the dashboards of usual users? Cause it would look strange if the GD links from the dashboard stay up there and when you click them you get to nowhere.

I mean here in the sidebar dashboard for example (screenshot)

    Regards,
    Atilla

“My listings” is only there if they have a listing.
And “Add a listing” would go to a page that would tell them they cannot add a listing.
You probably could hide that link altogether, but you will need to seek support of the membership plugin for that.

    Thanks

Yea and that support would have to know how your codes to be able to hide things that should not be shown. Nah that`s much too complicated. I will just hope that my customer does not insist to have this feature in the page.

    Thank you for your support!

A good developer should be able to assist too when the time comes, just in case they ask. Cheers
