Let’s say that for reporting purposes I need to create a new standalone (non-GD) page that lists all place entries belonging to a particular category, and I need to have a slightly different presentation of the place summary details on this page from the one used on my normal GD pages.

I can add a shortcode, something like:

    [gd_listings post_type="gd_place" post_limit="1000" add_location_filter="0" sort_by="az" title_tag="h3" layout="4" view_all_link="0" bottom_pagination="0" category="57"]

How would I adapt the presentation of the entries in the grid for this page so that, for example, unlike on the other GD archive/listings pages it includes each practice’s Facebook link? I can’t see how to call in a different template part on an arbitrary page like this.

There isn’t a way to add ad-hoc templates for each GD Listing instance.

What you can do is add, for example, the facebook link to all instances, hide it with CSS, and then show it only on the special page with the GD listings display.

This can be done with your own custom CSS, we have several examples in the forum.

Thanks Alex, we’ll go with the CSS approach.
