Different views for Widgets vs Archive page?

    Hi,

    For our gd_place -CPT we need different views for the archive page vs shortcode and widgets -listing view.

    Both views are very basic, the archive page should display/list title + a short content excerpt but the shortcode/widget views should only display/list the title.

    The archive page is using layout=”gridview_onehalf” but wherever we use a widget or shortcode to display a gd_place -list view we use the listview -layout.
    …so I was hoping I could use this “list_hide”:

    …like:
    [gd_post_content key=”post_content” limit=”30″ read_more=” ” list_hide=”1″]
    (in our “GD Archive Item template”) but it does not seem to work?

    It will not simply hide everything, only secondary information.

    You will need custom CSS to hide items in certain views.

    For example, wrap your GD Listings widget in a custom class and hide the GD Post Images element only when it shows wrapped in your custom class.

    Thank you Alex,

    But I was not referring to “list_hide_secondary” but to “list_hide” which is supposed to hide the specific field?

    …Yes, I know I can always hide things with css but it seems wrong simply hiding all these textblocks with css and I fear it will be bad for SEO.
