Disable "Places" CPT

    Hi,

    I have only one CPT, apart from the “Places” default one. Is there any way to disable that CPT?

    Or at least to not show a list with just the one available CPT when adding a listing in the Dashboard widget (image attached).

    It seems like GD is very well prepared for dealing with several CPTs and categories but have some usability quirks for the users when dealing with just one CPT and one category. I think it would be nice to not show options for the user to select when there is really only one he can choose.

    Just my 2 cents! Amazing plugin overall.

    Hi,

    the option to remove places from there is in Design >> Navigation >> Show add listing link in user dashboard

    Let us know if you found it.

    Hello Paolo,

    I’ve checked and I only have my other CPT selected in that option (which is the one showed in the image). I think it would be nice to show just a link/button to add a listing when only one CPT is available.

    In the mean time, I guess I can disable that option and just create a button manually in the sidebar that links to the appropiate page to add a listing of that type, so that the user only sees that option.

    But maybe, from a user perspective, you could think about not showing a list when there’s just one option to select ;).
