    My homepage: http://www.accessible-japan.com

    Hi,

Trying to speed up my site and wpgeodirectory takes up a chunk of the speed. But, I need it (obviously!) for any directory related pages.

Is there a way to have the plugin NOT load on certain pages? ie I don’t need it on the top page or blog page or general info pages. Just the “hotels” and “attractions” pages (and any geodirectory page)

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh,

WordPress doesn’t allow such thing. Almost the entire code (wp core, all plugins and all theme code) are loaded for every page load.

hat’s why WordPress experts (including us) suggest to stay away from big themes that promise to do just about everything and to keep the plugins number to the bare minimum.

A possible solution could be to use Multisite instead of single site and use a different sub-site for each section of your webiste. In your case i guess 2 secions. Home + blog + static page and Directory.

That way each website would only load what is needed.

Another solution, but that would involve a further investment, is to upgrade to a more powerful server.

    Thanks
