Display Excerpt Instead of Content

    I have this board here built out of Geodirectory elements but I have excerpts filled out but can’t seem to get them to display instead of the text content.

    Any ideas? http://www.cornwallvsf.org/noticeboard/

    If you mean the WP excerpt, GD doesn’t use WordPress custom fields.

    You can use the GD Post Content element in your GD Archive Item template to setup a truncated version of the description field, though.

    Is there any plans to have the excerpts work in the future? It would be great if this could be considered!

    We handle excerpts with custom fields. You can add a new textarea or text field. If you add the text field, you can have a char limit. With a textarea you can use GD Post Content to control how many words are shown.
