Display Recently Viewed by Location

    Hello team!
    I was unable to locate the following question in the forums. We are trying to make the following happen:

    1. Site visitor is on a place detail listing page in one of our city locations. We want to display “Recently Viewed” places by city location and tags or categories.

    2. User is on an event detail listing page in a city location.
    We want to display “Recently Viewed” events by city location and tags.

    We did add the GD-Recently Viewed widget to the details listing sidebar but the places displayed are from all over the region/state of Oregon, and therefore have low relevance to the user.

    What is the best way for us to accomplish #1 and #2?

    Hello,

    the recently viewed widget is a great way to show a list of listings that the user has clicked on during their visit to the site, and it has the option to specify a post type.

    GD Listings has many more powerful options, including the ability to filter by category or tag when GD Listings is located on the detail page. It also has the option to filter by location, to show only ‘related’ posts that are in the same location.

    Try out GD Listings on the detail page and let us know how it goes.
