    Hi,
I am currently using the supreme directory theme, and I understand it is a child theme of Directory starter. My question is, do I need to create a child theme (grandchild) for the supreme directory to preserve my CSS and custom changes, when the theme is updated?
Will the updates affect my changes?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,

For extra CSS you can use the new customizer feature “Additional CSS”
For code changes we recommend using a plugin called “Code Snippets”

    Thanks,

    Hi Stiofan,
I’m afraid, you did not answer my questions. With “code snippets” plugin, if I make my changes on there, will it be overwritten when I update the theme?

    Hi Nick,

Sorry, sometimes i just assume everyone knows what i mean 🙁

The code snippets plugin lets you add code changes, these are stored in the DB so no matter if you update the theme or even the code snippets plugin the code won’t be lost, thats the point of the plugin 🙂
