Hi, I had a listing in Package 1, which was to downgrade to Package 2 after 3 months (both non-recurring).

Before the listing completed 3 months, i decided to deactivate package 2, set the package 1 to downgrade to EXPIRE.

On completion of 3 months, however, the listing downgraded to Package 2, even though it was inactive.

Is this expected behviour, though at the time the listing expired, the downgrade was set to EXPIRE, however it ‘remembered’ that it had to downgrade to Package 2 (from the time it was created)?

So – is the downgrade package ‘remembered” from the creation/last update time, or it is checked at the time of expiry?

    thanks, Vivek

    Hello,

even if a package is inactive, if it has been applied through the frontend to a listing, then the settings of the package will still apply.

About whether the inactive package settings are referenced for the downgrade option at the time of expiry, I will ask the developers to comment.

Yes, here my query is about an ACTIVE package (PACKAGE 1), whose downgrade setting was PACKAGE 2, at the time the listing was created. Package 1 had a lifetime of 3 months, so after 3 months, the listing was downgraded to PACKAGE2 (now inactive)

Inbetween the 0-3 month period, the downgrade setting of PACK1 (which is still active) was changed from PACK2 to EXPIRE, so should the listing have expired or should it be downgraded to PACK2?

It should have went to package 2. The listing inherits the info from the package on creation, updating the package will only affect future creations.

Thanks very much for clarification. The behaviour is then as expected. Pls close this one.
