A little confused, so heres a silly question!
So i Have my listing package as follows,

    Listing costs £5.
    Recurring payment: Yes
offer free trail for 1 month
Renew monthly every 1 month for 12.

So i am assuming the user will get 1 month free and then each month (for 12 months) they will pay £5.

Now i am assuming thats correct. But how does a user then downgrade their listing?
If say after 3 months they dont want it anymore and want to use the Free listing i have on offer how do they change it?
    Thanks

    Hi,

the only way for a user to delete recurring payments is via their paypal account, or you can delete it on your site, but still on paypal.

Last time I check it was not possible to do it via API ,so you couldn’t do this from within your website.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I remember that the developers where looking into Stripe API. I’ll ask them to let us know,

    Thanks

For paypal you would just have to do the upgrade/downgrade and cancel the original subscription from paypal (either you or the customer) the same is true for stripe at the moment, though i think their API might allow some more functionality, i will add it as a task to be considered.

    Thanks,

I don’t know the first thing about API’s etc, but I assume the stripe api allows for cancellations as they have an option to cancel there and then or at the end of that billing period or something along those lines!

    1. I dont understand how a user would do this via stripe as they cant log in to stripe..? (I cant work out how they would anyhow!)

    2. Thus they would have to downgrade their listing and i would have to cancel it in stripe maybe?
(well I would downgrade it myself as its easier..)

3.If a subscription is cancelled in stripe, would the listing downgrade its self…?

Please can you clarify each or correct me if I’m wrong 🙂
    Thanks guys!

    Hi,

we added a task to allow users to cancel their Stripe subscription on the website directly.

    1) At the moment they can’t

    2) Same as above, they’d have to go through you

    3) Yes

    Thanks
