Duplicate Content – Breadcrumbs

    1. In the permalinks settings I have “Add requested category slugs in listing urls” unchecked as I do not want the category added. But I noticed that the search engines have index the URLS regardless. I went to the URL that was indexed and it shows up as a duplicate page. I need it to be 404 error as I do not want the duplicate pages indexed. I should have no pages with the category added. How can this be done?

    2. The breadcrumbs for the “popular location” widget used to go the listing pages. Now the breabcrumbs go to location pages instead of listing pages. I have no listings or categories with the same. For several reasons, I need it to point back to the listing pages. Is there a snippet I can use to do this?

    Hi Lance,

    1.
    < Let us provide which urls “indexed and it shows up as a duplicate page”.

    2.
    < Popular location widgets contains the locations with the links to the locations pages. So when you goes to any location page from this widget it has breadcrumbs with location page url.
    The link to listings page in breadcrumbs available only within listings pages (ex: post type archive links, categories pages, tags pages etc..).
    There is no snippet to get the thing you asking about to implement. It required some code customization to implement it.
