easy posting of photos

    For GD listings there’s a place for Photos and an easy way to upload them from back end and front end. However, for the front end you have to be in edit mode. This works but exposes the other info on the Listing page to be edited or accidentally messed up if all you want to do is add a photo.

    Is there a way to add a media gallery to a Listing outside of the standard photo feature? For example, I use the RT Media plugins. This allows people to add photos to a BuddyPress Group as long as you are a member (but don’t have to be an admin).

    Is there a way to do something similar with GD? For example I noticed there’s a file upload Custom Field in the CPTs. Would this work? Or can you add a shortcode or similar to a CPT tab and create a new tab like ‘Media Gallery’?

    Wondering if there’s a way to do this or best practice.

    Hi,

    the only product of our suite that includes something like that is Whoop, where the feature is included in the theme only (to mimic Yelp).

    Should you wish to add something similar to another theme though, that would be considered a complex customization. The easiest way would be to take whoop and study how that was done and replicate it on another theme (or hire a dev to do it for you).

    However we are talking about few days of work.
