I can’t recreate this on my test site.
There was some changes made to the upload script, maybe it was already fixed or maybe its something specific to your setup. We will be doing some releases today and tomorrow, if its still happening after the next core release then let me know and i’ll have a look at your site.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Sorry i think i fixed this before u checked Kiran 🙂

    1. There was a sort of race condition with location manager restoring the revision and core saving the images, i have added a fix in core to prevent this, please test now.

    2. This was caching, i have added no cache headers to our add listing page but it did not help, i had to exclude the add listing page in your caching plugins settings.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Stiofan,
It is working perfectly now in my test site. No additional images being created on Edit + Submit

Is this core update coming soon? Or can you apply the fix to my Main website too?
In my Main website I’m getting the following error as soon as I click Add Event.
    https://img.techpowerup.org/190204/image-1496.png

    Please let me know. Thanks.

    Hi Stiofan,
Any update or ETA on this fix?

Is this related to SIV2 – I have
    GeoDirectory Social Importer.
    Version 2.0.0.10

Just imported an event today with SIV2, with same issue, duplicate image in Media Library.

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi Kiran,
Just to help clarify…This thread for GD Core is RESOLVED (Edit + Submit Listing creates multiple media images.)

Looks like SIV2 is creates multiple media images. That’s a separate issue and I created the following thread for that under SIV2:
