Editing location URL slug

    Is it possible to change the standard country/region/city slug in order to shorten URL length?

    For example, is there a way to use shortened/abbreviated country/state names by changing:

    mydomain.com/places/united-states/texas/dallas/hotels/my-listing

    to

    mydomain.com/places/us/tx/dallas/hotels/my-listing
