Please update GD to the latest version of the plug-in and see if the issue resolves itself.

If not write back in a private reply with wp admin credentials and site url so we can check on the issue.

The maps will automatically center on the ‘center’ of all the listings on the map.

You have listings in BC and FL, remove all listings outside your target are to focus the map on the target area.

    Same old story…

    1. Alex, you seem to be rushing all the time, I don’t understand your answer – “You can listings in BC and FL”

    2. Guust, can you provide a second opinion? We had this issue before and you were able to fix it.

P.S. We had 99% of our listings in Ontario and this is our main client base, we can’t have it ‘centered’ in united stated.

    Thank you.

Remove the listings that are not in Ontario or hide them from the map.

If 1% are in another place like FL (FLorida) or BC (British Columbia) then the map will center between FL BC and Ontario.

Alex, the page looks different now: https://imgur.com/a/gulgCAg

Did you change it? If you did <sigh> – do you think it makes sense to inform the client about the changes?

    *** Only to Guust (below)

If I understand it correctly there is a way to achieve it by displaying this url to users: https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/

How do I set my main listings page (https://allontario.ca/places/) to show this url – https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/
I can probably do a simple redirect, but is there a way to do it through GD settings?

    Thank you

There’s no way to do that with GD, but why do you not just link to that page from your menu, instead of linking to all Places?

Regarding the change to the Listings map, that was me, to make sure that the map automatically zooms to focus on the listings. I reset it to a fixed zoom.

“but why do you not just link to that page from your menu”

    Because of that – https://imgur.com/a/YYlL1A4

It is named Ontario business directory and 99% of our clients are from Ontario.
Do I understand you correctly that there is no way to have the map zoomed on Ontario?

The map will zoom on Ontario if you go to the Ontario page: https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/

What I mean is, why do you link to https://allontario.ca/places/ and not to https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/ if you only want to show Ontario listings?

Oh, I think I just confused a bit, you basically saying that the simplest solution would be to link from the navigation menu to here: https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/

Sure, it will work! The only tiny snag is this one:

    View post on imgur.com

    a. Is there a way to remove the yellow writing that says that it searches within the specific region?
    b. This is not mandatory, just curious – if I search from that specific listing location (like in Ontario) does it by default shows the results only pertinent from this location?

    a) Try this CSS:

    .geodir-search .snear.near-region, .geodir-search .snear.near-country, .geodir-search .snear.near-city {background-color: #FFF;!important}

    b) If you do not change the “In: Ontario”, that is correct.
