Enable location filter? Tick to filter the autocompleter… returning 404

    With the Advanced Search plugin active, when having this option checked “Enable location filter? Tick to filter the autocompleter search results with current location.”, doing a search and just selecting a category from “Search For” delivers a 404 for search results, as it is adding /country/state/city/ to the category URL, as if every listing was categorized under child country, state, city categories under the category of the listing.

    I found that if I turn it off, it doesn’t do that, but I’m trying to figure out why it’s doing that, because it seems like it should work. Seems like a bug, but I’m unsure.

    It looks like you network activated the GD plugins, which is not the way to do it: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/#multisite

    Also give us superadmin access if we need to have another look at your settings.

    They are not network activated. I learned that early on, that for multisite they each have to be activated individually on each subdomain. They are all installed at the top level as they have to be, but all activated on the local subdomain level.

    Credentials have been updated to superadmin.

    Ok – so this is potentially a bug, not me doing something wrong or not understanding how this works? Because that is totally possible. This does SO much, and I’m learning and wading my way through it, but when I run across an issue I try to research it and make sure I’m using it right.

    I’m still in the process of developing everything right now, and am doing so online because a local development never worked right. I’m planning on each regional site having it’s own GD install, so that the regional site stays “on topic”, so to speak, so the whole multi-location feature really isn’t something I’d use.

    This has been fixed and it will be in next release of Advance Search plugin.

    Please provide FTP credentials if you want us to update patch on your site now.
