Enable shortcodes in Custom Fields

    I know this has been asked and sort of answered a number of times but I can’t decipher it.

    please advise the functions.php edit to enable shortcodes in a custom field created thru geodir cpt settings

    I’ve tried many different permutations of echo do_shortcode but coming up snakeeyes

    is the HTML Variable Name the custom field name? what code will allow shortcodes?

    Hi,

    you can’t do this via functions.php.

    The only way would be to add the custom field, wrapped in a do_shortcode funtion, directly in the template where you want to show it.
