    Hi all,

We’ve been receiving an increasing number of complaints about enquiry emails sent through GeoDirectory winding up in listing owner’s Junk folders, particularly with Gmail addresses.

I’ve already made sure to add enough text into the enquiry template that it doesn’t look too “spammy”, but looking at the message source, it looks like there is a LOT of “junk code” that could very well be tripping sensitive spam filters.

Can you please have a look at what gets sent out when a user makes an enquiry to a listing, and see whether it’s possible to make the email a little simpler and less likely to get flagged as spam? Thanks in advance. Let me know if you want login / FTP information, although the client’s site is live – and quite busy, so we need to be careful making any changes.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your post. If your emails are going spam folders, I’d suggest that you check with your hosting providers first, then let us know your results.

Also, there are a wide variety of possible solutions, including using a domain email or getting a third party service to send email.

    I hope it helps.

    Thanks!
