    Hi,
Please can you help. I have created a website http://wkbusinesshub.directory/ using Geodirectory with the Enfold theme and BuddyPress. All looks good and works fine when i am logged in as admin.

For my customers and site visitors it seems to be a different story as when they search the site throws back an “Error 404 – page not found” or when clicking on the listing link the same thing happens “Error 404 – page not found” I am not sure how long this has been happening for.

I have searched the support pages but i am not running any translation plugins that i am aware of and the permalinks are set to “Post name – http://wkbusinesshub.directory/sample-post/

This has become an urgent problem at the moment as the site is on its second incarnation due to some previous plugin clashes. So i created a new site on a clean WP install and imported the business listings. I am trying to get my customers to reclaim their businesses/listings but all they get is the 404 error and of course the site is currently unusable!

Please could you take a look or advise on a fix. If you need admin access please let me know.

    Many thanks & Best regards

    Turn off wordfence for starters.
Wordfence is not even allowing me to see your site.

And yes, we will need admin details.

Have a look now. I deleted and re-instated your Location page, something had corrupted it, maybe you tried editing it.

Please post any listings that do not work, I can’t find any.
Make sure you clear all caches.

Strange, the listings are not published, but they show on the listings pages.
Just publish the listings that do not work, and they should fix themselves.

    Hi Guust,

    Thanks for that.

I have “re-published” all the listings and we seem to be back on track.
The majority of the “un-published listings” were imported from the old site that went wrong is it possible it carried some corruption across as well?

Finally am i OK to switch Wordfence back on again with a lesser level of security or can you recommend something else as an alternative that plays friendly with geodirectory please.

Thank you so much for your time and the fix.

    Best regards

Use GD Booster for caching, No need to use Wordfence.

    Hi,

I’ve excluded the script that was causing the issue from being concatenated by GD Booster.

    It’s working now.

    Thanks
