error activating plugin

    I downloaded in TieLabs Sahifa theme, received the following error
    message when attempting to activate.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home1/jjdpurce/public_html/Nightlife_Philadelphia/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 846

    Suggestions please??

    Most probably your PHP version is too old.

    FYI – I was running php version 5.3 upgraded to 5.6 and geodirectory was activated
