When I try to import a CSV to add a few new places, I get the following error:
Array( [error] => Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.)x
I thought it may be WordFence preventing this so I disabled it, but that hasn’t remedied the situation.
Any advice?
Thank you.
May 30, 2019 at 3:41 pm #490021Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your post. Kindly refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/troubleshooting/#not-a-valid-csv-file
May 30, 2019 at 3:47 pm #490024Thank you Kor for your response. It now lets me upload the CSV, however, the information in the CSV seems to get ignored – I receive the message below when I import:
Total 2 item(s) found.
1 / 2 item(s) updated.
1 / 2 item(s) added. However, the imported data is nowhere to be seen.
I’ve attached the CSV so that you’re able to check it, in case I’m doing something wrong with the data.
Thanks again for your help.

May 31, 2019 at 1:43 am #490110I do not see any specific issues with the CSV.
Make sure you are using the option to update for rows that have a post id in the import.I tried to login but get a ‘bad gateway’ 502 error.
We have a recommended process for imports here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/#recommendedMay 31, 2019 at 9:52 am #490148Hello Alex.
Please try to log in again via https://corrodere.com/wp-admin/
I’ve viewed the link you supplied, the only thing to note was that I didn’t use the application suggested to make the CSV, but you’ve observed that there shouldn’t be anything wrong with the supplied CSV.
I’ve also tried the different options when importing, including the option to update rows based on the post id, but nothing seems to stick.
June 1, 2019 at 1:36 am #490282I exported and imported and it worked fine.
Try working with the file that is exported as outlined in the doc above.June 3, 2019 at 8:59 am #490559Hi Alex.
That’s where I went wrong. I used the Export tool, rather than the sample listing tool. Perhaps the export tool should be exporting the data in the same format it expects it to be imported in?
Regardless, thank you for helping me get to the bottom of this.
