Hello,
I’ve started having problems with entries that have an apostrophe in the title. When saving the entry a backslash is added. If I save the entry again a further two back slashes are added.
I’ve done some research and this appears to be a php thing (https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/escape-characters-being-inserted-in-front-of-apostrophes-in-gallery-slideshow-title-caption) though it is the first time I’ve seen it in WordPress.
Some of the instructions suggest turning off Magic Quotes in php.ini. Which I’ve done but there is no change.
The GeoDirectory seems to be handling it differently in different places (see attached images):
Wordpress admin:
List of entries – no backslash shown
Entry admin page – title shows backslash, slug doesn’t
Frontend:
Entry list: backslash is shown
Entry details: breadcrumb backslash is shown, title backslash is not shown http://www.homeschoolinsiders.com/practices/singapore/singapore/st-lukes-hospital/
When users create and edit their own entries I can’t stop them using apostrophe’s and every time they make edits it adds more and more backslashes.
Is this something that is broken in GeoDirectory? Are there any suggestions you have for what I can do?
