    This is event-related but may not be in the correct forum.. please advise or move if it isn’t

    I am thinking of creating a new CPT for Giveaways and I noticed in the Add New Post Type settings you have the option “Tick to treat this post type as an event post type” and wondering how this works.

    My giveaways will be timed Weekly, Bi-weekly or Monthly contests. After they expire I would like to have the pages not deleted so these would be like Past Events. Do you think that making this selection for this use would work out okay?

    And just to confirm to make sure… will this affect my other Events category in any way if I create a new CPT and select “Tick to treat this post type as an event post type”?
