please find attached the new Event addon BETA version.
The addon has been modified in several ways, being this the very 1st version released since rewriting it, it shouldn’t be used on live websites, but only tested on staging/development websites to report bugs and further improvement requests, before we release its final version.
New features are:
1) Recurring/Non Recurring events are now treated as separate entities.
2) The recurring event is considered a new feature that can be enabled/disable for each price package.
3) Add events form for non recurring events only asks for start and end dates.
4) Add events form for recurring events allows to create daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and custom dates recurring events, with all possible variations, including days of the week and weeks of the month.
5) Only 1 listing is created for non recurring events even if event dates span multiple consecutive days.
6) Only 1 listing is created for recurring events, but it will show up multiple times in events archive with the single event date next to the title. Opening the event detail page will show all dates of all recurrences in the sidebar.
7) All bugs reported for eariler versions should have been fixed.
There shouldn’t be the need for any DB convertion tool, we have thouroughly tested it with all sort of events created with the old version, but as always in this cases, we may have missed something and this is why we kindly ask to help us test this beta version as much as possible before releasing it.
