Thank you, I appreciate alot your time and effort put into this. I noticed you also made the changes above and everyting works fine…
How can I make the map on the listings page (here http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/evenimente/evenimente-copii/) to show subcategories in the right corner like the G Map Homepage here http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/location/?

I also noticed that not all entries for events (upcoming) or places are shown on the G Map Listing page. Is this normal or is a bug?

The GD Listings map only shows the listings that are called by the page.
So only events for example, and only as many as your setting is at WP > Reading > posts per page.
If you want subcategories on a listings page, try GD CPT Categories widget.

Dear team,

I am coming back to this post (not wanting to open a new one) with the final questions I hope… So, I have this:

Wordpress 4.4.2
Theme Enfold child
Geodirectory 1.5.8 and the add-ons installed

And these questions:

1. I have some trouble with locating some words to be translated:
– when trying to add a place or event, on the page ”Add listing” (see attachment add listing.png), I cannot find the source of the word ADD (that has to be translated), and also the phrases ”Import Details from Social” and ”Import Details” (although these last ones were translated in the geodir_socialimporter-ro_RO.po, it seems that the translation does not appear on the front-end of the site). 2. When a new user registers, after inserting the username and password, he is redirected to the homepage, without any message about registration. The same for login: user is redirected to the homepage. I this normal? Should they maybe be redirected to the dashboard?

3. Is there any way I can change url from ”add listing” (http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place) and ”add event” (http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event) pages?

4. When updating a recurring event with new dates, the times of the already/ previously inserted dates are reset!!! How can I change this? The website is about events, many of them having recurring days over a month, so when updating it, I need to have the times of the future days stored and not reset.

5. When trying to import the details of an event from facebook, I get this message:
”something went wrong(104), the admin must authorise this app in the backend”

6. How can I allow the comments for listings and events? Via the review system?

7. The widget for calendar, visible on all pages (ex here http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/ and also see attachment calendar widget.png). I translated the days from English to Romanian but it seems to be a bug somewhere, as I cannot get them arranged correctly. They are like: Mo, Tu, We, Tu, Fr, Sa, Sa. Any idea on what can I do about it?
Also, can I get some help, please, in customising the box, as it seems to look chaotic?

One last question: I have added in mu submeniu the links for login and logout. The login works fine, but when trying to logout, I get the message shown in the attachment. Any ideas why this does not work?

I’ll get Paolo to have a look at point 7 for the CSS.

0. Make sure to update to the latest versions, we only support the current versions because they have all the latest bug fixes, and are guaranteed to work well together.

1. You can change Add Listing in the core language file; look for Add %%pt_single%%

To check your social importer translations we would need FTP details after you updated all plugins.

2. They should be redirected to the page where they choose to register. But that can be changed with some third party redirect login plugin you might find on the wordpress site.

3. Just change the slug of the Add Listing page in WP Pages.

4. When changing event dates, you will also need to change or confirm the times. That is the only option.

5. That means you must have missed a step when setting up the FB app.

6. You have removed the Reviews tab at GD > design > detail > Exclude selected tabs from detail page
Change that.

I am struggling with the CSS to get the 7 days to show without changing the sidebar width.
I added some starting CSS to GD > design > script

8. Best to use the GD Login widget for login and logout.

Thank you, I will review all points above.

For facebook, yes, you are right, I now realised that the website and the facebook application do not coincide, due to the fact that this is a test site, while the FB page is compatible with another site. I will come back after the site goes live, if any problems.

For the calendar issue, maybe it can help if I have the days with one letter instead of two?

I still have a problem with the recurring events, in that that it will be difficult to reconfirm times for an event with lets say 5 dates with 5 different times, while adding another date. I will then have to re-add the times for all 5+1 dates, right?

I updated the plugin.

You cannot have different times for the same event, you can only achieve that by creating another event.

Let’s wait for Paolo for question 7.

I want to thank you for all the work done, your support is very prompt and excellent – I really needed to say that.

I have gone through all issues raised above and corrected them. I also had one problem with generating the sitemap (via WordPress seo by Yoast) but found the solution in the forum topics.

I am still not comfortable with the issue for recurring events: reinserting times from scratch for the dates already included every time a new date is added. So if I have an event with 5 dates in future, each date with its own time for the event, and then I add another date in future, all times are reset and have to reinsert them.

I was hoping you can also help me with customising a bit the simple search form and the advanced search form for listings (http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/locatii/) and events (http://testsite.melc-codobelc.ro/evenimente/evenimente-copii/) – they look very spreaded along the screen and with no consistency between their elements…

Is there any way I can add a title before the search boxes?

Hi,

if events have different time for all reoccurences, you must enetered them as separate events. Not as recurring events. You cannot set a differnt time for each reoccurance.

For the custom search filters please add this to gd > design > scripts > custom css:
```
.geodir-filter-cat {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 5% 0 0;
    width: 28%;
}
```
Let us know if that worked too.

Not working… I tried to see what changes to make via ”Inspect element” and copied them here gd > design > scripts > custom css, but there are no changes…
