    I want to export from an existing site my CPT’s. I understand how to export. Exporting is not a problem.

    I want to import the cpt’s to a new site. Here is a multi-part question:

    1. “Must I create the CPTs” in the new site “first” using the same field sets and “labels” or
    2. Will the “import” of the “exported from the old site”… create the CPT’s for me with the labels.

    Hi,

    1 you must create the CPT first and also the categories.

    2 import will not work if CPT and categories are not created in advance.
