    Hi,
I have successfully migrated from GDV1 to GDV2. Now I am trying to Export listings from that GDV2 and import to new clear WP with GDV2, but I have a problem…

in which order do I need to import data? First locations, then Categories and then Listings? Do I even need to import locations?
In the “old” web site I have some additional Custom Fields that I want to ignore and not to import. Do I need to delete them firstly?

    I’m getting only two messages:
    1. If I chose “Update listing If post ID already exists” I received the message that Listings already exists (But the database is empty)
    2. If I chose to ignore listing if post ID exists, I receive the message that they were successfully imported. But the database is still empty.

    Can you help me please?

1st you should create the custom fields in Place > Settings.

Don’t create those that you want to drop.

No need to import locations, 1st categories, then listings.

If that doesn’t work, please provide access to phpmyadmin or cpanel.

    Thanks

If importing to a new site you must remove the post ID.
You must also make sure the category ID match up, if importing them they may change in some circumstances.

Ah, ok for post IDs, maybe I can do that…
And yes, category IDs are changed…how to solve this? How to update? Do I need to update all _terms tables manually?

And, if the solution is to change Category ID in CSV, how to do that? IDs are not unique and I don’t know how to replace them only in one column… if you understand what I mean…

I did manually drop and import entire _term tables with phpmyadmin (4 of them)… Seems that now I can import Listings regularly…

Currently, there is also a Bug in phpmyadmin which doesn’t allow to export in SQL single table…

Do you have a backup? Can you restore it?

I think Stiofan meant that you would need to swap out new IDs for old in the CSV.

I managed to somehow solve the problem. Do not touch anything 🙂 If it does not work, I’ll call you for help.
I managed to migrate 160k Listings. Now I need to test.

I managed to import Listings, but there is a ton of duplicates. How to clean?
The problem importing Listings without IDs is that if something goes wrong during the import, then you have to delete all and start from the beginning, true?!

Also, then why you have options “Update listing if post ID already exists” and “Ignore listing if post ID already exists” if I import without IDs?

If you are importing a CSV with new and old listings, that setting allows you to skip the old/existing listings.

To identify duplicates you could create a category ‘dupes’ and export via CSV< identify duplicates, set that category, and then import.

Once changes are in the listings can be delected from the “all places” screen. Use screen options to select up to 200 listings at a time, use category to sort by ‘dupes’ category and bulk trash them.

I am not sure what are you suggesting to me

I have 160.000 Listings, I can’t repeat 800 times select and delete… and if I select to show more than 250 listings, wp brakes during bach delete.

    I have 9 CSV files with 20k listings… I’ve tried to export 100k but WP freeze…
