    Hi GD.

Really happy about joining you guys. I’m playing with multiple sites now using GD.

However I have a couple of questions regarding to topic of this post.

    – I’d like to make a large directory… world wide on long term.
    – But I for the users I’d like to give them a feel that it’s local. You know where I’m getting at?
I like to have multible domains connected to one and multible facebook pages connected to those multible domain…
For example. let use the http://www.theglobe.com as the main domain.
The profiles must all be added here…on http://www.theglobe.com

Then you have let say… http://www.Uk.uk and denmark.dk and deutsland.de and so on…
each with their own facebook page connected.

So people in the only get reminders/popups on facebook that concerns them…..in the uk and not the info from the rest of the world.

at the same time i’d like the people using the link http://www.uk.uk to be forwarded to http://www.theglobe.com but only to things concerning the UK.

    Is that possible?

People like local stuff and don’t want the info from te world…they want to bye locally and they want to go to things locally…and so on..

Hope my message is understandable. 🙂

    Is all this possible?
Right now I have a main domain and 5 “small” addon domains and I am wondering if I should make one big site with all the info and the if possible link the smaller once to the right info in the one big and main domain… or make 5 small domain with each their separate content and then maybe uploaded that into the main domain… but let the small domain be seperate with each their own login and so on…

Can you point me in the right direction… ? 🙂

Have a nice day GD and thanks….

    You can redirect uk.uk to theglobe.com/location/united-kingdom …
But why not just have different FB pages for different countries on the same theglobe.com?
    Why complicate it?

    Hi….

    This is good… (I know… I a’m complication it)

Can you point me in the right direction?

    Here are my main questions:

    – should I just set it up with theglobe.com
    – can I have multiple (local) facebook pages setup så that my directory only shares the relevant stuff for that area?

I am not sure if you can connect multiple FB pages to the Social Importer.
If you can, you would then have to post manually from the listings, it could not be done automatically without some complex customization, even if possible at all.
I’ll get the others to look at your question too.

Ok.. however im my mind it would be essential to the site and the feel og local that the social importer can “pict” the right stuff and post to the right “local” facebook page. :-)…. I think people are very local oriented…. and so am I when looking for events and places…. 🙂

Thanks so fare… looking forward to hearing what the others says.
