    Hi,

    I just had to update Yoast plugin and got the following failure notice:

    Update Plugin

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get() on null in /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-easy-updates-master/admin/class-external-updates-admin.php:821 Stack trace: #0 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(298): External_Updates_Admin->update_errors(false, ‘https://downloa…’, Object(Plugin_Upgrader)) #1 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(203): WP_Hook->apply_filters(false, Array) #2 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php(265): apply_filters(‘upgrader_pre_do…’, false, ‘https://downloa…’, Object(Plugin_Upgrader)) #3 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php(715): WP_Upgrader->download_package(‘https://downloa…’) #4 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-plugin-upgrader.php(186): WP_Upgrader->run(Array) #5 /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-admin/update.php(65): Plugin_Upgrader->upgrade(‘wordpress-seo/w…’) #6 in /var/sites/l/loopyfood.net/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-easy-updates-master/admin/class-external-updates-admin.php on line 821

    When I tried updating the plugin again it worked, but since the last line mentions easy-updates I thought it best to flag the initial failure.

    I have released an update for WPEU that should resolve it, update that first.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Stiofan,

    given that I have no update notification as per other plugins, how do I update it – or is it a case of deactivating, deleting then re-uploading it?

    Go to Dashbaord>Updates> and click “check again” that should bring up the notification (if WPEU is active) Then you can update as normal. If you have any problems you can do it like how you described.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    I couldn’t get it to show as needing updating, so had to de-activate, delete, download and upload the new version.

    Translations have been updated now, so all good.

    Thanks,
    Adrian
