    Fatal error: Call to a member function get_default_language() on a non-object in /home/therguid/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/general_functions.php on line 1431

    I am getting this fatal error on my homepage after installing Geodirectroy

    Hello Judith, are you using some language/translation plugin? Try deactivating and see if the error disappears.

    Hi Simone, yes I am trying to use polylang as my site is multilingual. Is GD compatible with it?

    Hi, to be honest I never used polylang, and seeing the fatal error is not a good sign, WPML is GD-friendly

    Yes, I know. But I am testing GD right now, to see if I will buy all the add ons that are offered. And WPML also costs money…
    Before I take that decision I need to test a little more. Anyhow, I have disabled polylang and the dummydata is showing fine now.

    You can also try Transposh as a free alternative, I used it quite often on not-GD websites, and I have it on one of my GD demo site, but I did not “stressed” it to check if it works well with GD or not (so far so good thou)

    yes, GD and Polylang is incompatible. Just switched polylang on again and now I have the fatal error message again…
