Favorite function for Post/Custom Post Type

    Hi amazing team,

    I would like to ask is it possible to add the Favorite full function to default Post/Page of WordPress, also to other Custom post types that weren’t created by GeoDirectory?

    I put Favorite shortcode/widget into the layout of Post/Page/CPT and the Favorite/Unfavorite button works well but there are no option to show them in Profile page (UsersWP > Addons > GeoDirectory > CPT favorites in profile), only custom post types that were created by GeoDirectory could be added.

    GD Post Favorite will only work with GD and here is where you can view/manage your favorite listings https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/account-management/

    Hello,

    Yes, the favorite function currently only works with GD post types, but I have made a note of your idea and the developers will look into the possibility in the future. The developers always consider adding popular ideas.

    Thank a lot Alex, it’s great that you made a note about this. The idea is to give people a way to bookmark a post/blog that they can read later.

    For example: To have better SEO and make people spend more time on our website, we can write articles that are related to places (Best places to visit, Best places to eat…) and put our own experiences on that, not only listings with general information.
    Many people love reading these articles and they will bookmark it to keep for later if someday they want to take their friends to a place that we wrote about.

    Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, we totally agree. Since it’s not possible yet, you can look for a 3rd party plugins to achieve what you needed there.
