    Is there a way to put the featured listings first?

    Right now my shortcode looks like this

    [gd_listings post_type=”gd_place” event_type=”all” sort_by=”az” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”4″ post_limit=”36″ add_location_filter=”1″ view_all_link=”1″ with_pagination=”1″ bottom_pagination=”1″  category=”0″]

    Hello,

    GD has some powerful sorting tools inside the Custom Post Type settings.

    You can find that in Places -> Settings -> Sorting (tab)

    Configure a sort there and then, go back to your GD listings and setup the shortcode again, but this time you can choose that new sort, too, from within the GD Listings settings.

    It is still not working. I tried putting a place as featured and it’s not coming up first. I can give you some website credentials if you’d like to take a look

    Sure, and please specify which CPT and what URL we should check to see the results you are reporting.

    You have not updated the shortcodes yet.
    You need to use the shortcode builder, I changed the shortcode to

    [gd_listings post_type="gd_place" post_limit="36" add_location_filter="1" sort_by="featured_desc" title_tag="h3" layout="4" view_all_link="1" with_pagination="1" bottom_pagination="1" category="0"]

    {FIXED}

    You need to set the Featured sort to “descending”, not “ascending” in the sort options for the CPT.
    {FIXED}

    CPT means a Custom Post Type, like Hotspots or Events or Places.

    Thanks
