Few more questions when setting up the new Directory

    1) I need to change the “Time” Field to a Text Area but im not able to do that? Is there a work around bcoz I tried creating a new one but then I cant delete the Default Fields.

    2) Duplicate Finder
    When using the Duplicate Finder I can only choose one field to check for duplicates, is there a way to check 2 or more fields for duplicate values?

    3) How to disable Tags or have the user select only allowed tags.

    4) Optional Description, – The big description box should be optional, if the user does not enter any value the tab must not be displayed is something like this possible? if any one can guide me how to do this it would be appreciated!!

    Ok…Figured out the Time thing for those who need to know how I did it

    Step 1 – Go to <<Post Type>> Settings >> Custom Fields
    Step 2 – Click on any of the Fields you want to disable in this case I clicked on “Time”
    Step 3 – Scroll down till u see “Is Active :” and select “No” then click on Save.
    Step 4 – Drag and Drop the Text Area and Name it Time and enter the settings as per your requirements.

    2. You can only choose one field per CPT.

    3. You cannot disable them, but you can hide them with CSS. It is not possible to let them choose from a list. In that case I suggest a multiselect custom field.

    4. Description cannot be made optional. It can be hidden completely but it is compulsory. So it is either required for all, or not there for anybody.

    @guust

    2) Is a custom modification possible if yes, could you EMAIL me the cost for it? I would want the duplicate to check for Duplicate Title , Phone Number and Email Address.

    3) So if I hide the Tags from the Frontend using CSS it would be gone, If I use the Multi-Select Custom Field is it possible to make the Frontend Display as a Link which would list all the Listings with the Selected Option to be displayed on a new page?

    3. Yes, you can do that with the advanced search; add the new custom field to your customised search.
