    Hi there, going to do a new CPT with GD for a document listing. Got all field figured out, but a couple of queries.

    1. Do you have to use the ‘details’ page for all CPT’s or can it be the archive item and archive only?

    2. If you linked to a url link for a document. Eg a pdf document, is there a way to pick up the meta file image of that pdf and show as a picture or would a separate picture have to be added separately?

    Hi David,

    1. The details page template is used for displaying the details of the listing https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/templates/details/ . You can’t use any other template for this.

    2. That’s not possible unfortunately.

    An addendum: for 1, though uncommon, it is possible to remove the link from the post title and the photo so that users cannot find a link to the details page. It is not the intended use, though. GD Post Images includes the option to disable the link, but the link for post title would require custom CSS to disable the link.
