File types for upload

    Hi,

    Is it possible to have more file types in the standard upload field. Right now it’s only image files. I’d like text files too… I know I can make a custom upload field – but it’s confusing for useres, if there’s two different upload fields. It would be nice if the standard upload could take both image and text files. Can’t find a setting for this.

    You can also use this filter to add or remove from the list

    Hi Stiofan,

    I looked at the filter you sent. And in the general-functions.php
    It looks like it’s all there – so my question is, how do I add i.e. pdf’s og .doc’s in the same standard uploader as the images. My client prefers only one upload field – and I could remove the standard field with css, but I guess there won’t be any ‘profile/thumbnail’ pic on the listing, if I don’t use the standard upload field for images.

    Ah that standard one, not that is for the image gallery, not for other file types.
    That is not something we would want to do, it might be possible with customisation but i would not recommend it.

    Hi,

    How do I increase the number of allowed uploads? It looks like it’s only possible to upload 1 in the custom upload field. And there’s not settings for size and number – only file formats.

    Yes it can only take one file, what are you trying to achieve and maybe i can give some advice?

    I’m trying to achieve that a user making a listing can upload several text documents (pdf’s or whatever). One is not quite enough. Would be great if I didn’t have to make 10 custom upload fields, for users to be able to upload 10 documents 🙂
