    Hi,
I want the user to upload some files eg ID , while adding a listing, which,
    1. I dont want to be shown in the listing at the front end, and
    2. I want the admin to be able to view/download, in order to verify/ approve the listing

I just tried to upload one pdf file into a listing, and it does not appear the front end (maybe because i did not map that into any of the tabs), so i suppose point 1 is okay.
How can i achieve point 2?

    thanks, Vivek

    Hi,

You should be able to see the file from the back end when editing the listing.

    Let us know.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

I am indeed able to see the file in admin, but i cannot open it nor download it.

On hover on the icon it shows only actions to add title/caption or delete, and nor does right click show any options to save/view.

So how can i view the uploaded file in admin?

    thanks,
    Vivek

Right now the only way to access the file for download is to show it on the front end.
It would require a 3rd party plugin or custom code to restrict the display of the files on the frontend to a specific role.
We have created a task to look improving this feature in future versions, once our current workload priorities are complete.
