Hello… I made a custom field using “File Upload” for clients to upload a pdf. I can upload a pdf, however when trying to view it the detail page (in the More Info tab), I only see a blank box with no link to the pdf or anything (see screenshot).

Any idea how can I get a link to the pdf to show up?

    Thanks in advance…

In the custom field option you should only set the name fro the label and and “show in the more info” and you’re done (just tested on my demo site, working fine).

Please post url and login details so I can eventually check

Before I send you my site details, I tried it on the GD demo site and get the same results. (screenshot)

Here’s the link to the demo:

Seems like it uploads the pdf fine, but then for some reason, it disappears.

The only reason i came up with, is that your file is “not good”. i tried with more than one Pdf file on my test site and it works as expected see here for example

    http://test.simonetambasco.com/gd/places/italy/calabria/catanzaro/festival/pdf/

could you test it with other PDF just to exclude it isn’t an issue with the file?

I’ve tried with both of these… Normal pdfs I believe…

Can you upload these on your site to test?

Ok is it happening with your files, I can see the same issue you have.

I tried with a sample PDF file downloaded from the adobe website. I’ve attached it here

I understood the issue, rename your files, because in the name you have a dot and it is surely recognised as a “strange” file extension during the upload. I’ve renamed yours and they work fine.
