I would like to upload PDF menu files for restaurants or brochures for businesses etc – is there a limit to the file sizes, can I uploads more than one page etc. Have tried to upload four-page doc but I get an HTTP error message

    HI,

the file size limit should be set via GeoDirectory >> General >> Maxi upload file size(in mb).

By default it is set at 2MB.

How big is the file you are trying to upload?

    Let us know

That should not matter. 1 or 4 pages, it’s the file size that matters.

Could you please upload the file on a file sharing website and share the link to it? I’ll download it and try to upload it in one of my test website. I will let you know how it went.

    Thanks

I tried uploading on my test site without any problem.
Do you have PDF files enabled in the “File” custom field settings?

    HI,

if I rename your file from

    Lara’s Wine List.pdf

    to

    Lara-s-Wine-List.pdf

    Then it works.

Not sure why your server doesn’t let it upload with the original file name, but I suspect the ‘ has something to do with it.

However you’ll need to ask to your server admin to fix this. I’ve tested on our demo too and like Guust the upload was successful, which means the problem is at server level, not the application.

    Thanks
