Filter by Category?

    It would be possible add a filter “by category” to listing pages?

    And a filter “by start date” to event listings pages?

    that is possible.

    You need to add category as Advance filter. Go to GD >> Places settings >> Double click on Field Category >> SCroll down to Advanced sort & filters options >> enable Include this field in filter.

    Once enabled you can go to advance search tab, add it to your filters and adjust settings.

    While for event the search for Dates filter is available by default in the advance search tab.

    Well, really I mean to add a filter next to List View combo box, not in the Advanced Search.
