I am trying to edit GD Archive page to fit my needs when viewing a category and the sidebar shows always, even if I remove it from my page layout.

This is the content of the page:

[gd_notifications]
[gd_category_description]
[gd_search]
[gd_loop_actions]
[gd_loop layout=2]
[gd_loop_paging]
```
Where is GD Archive page sidebar being called from?

Your theme. GDV2 uses the theme sidebars. If you have a template that does not have a sidebar, set that in the GD Archive page template

I am using Enfold, nothing fancy, just select “No Sidebar” in page attributes as usual and nothing.

The other pages work as expected, but GD Archive when I see a category is not, it shows the sidebar. You can try it yourself with a simple page.

I don’t feel comfortable that you use my live site for debugging your plugin.

Is not easier that you test it internally with Enfold as being one of the supported themes?

It is just creating a page, select “no sidebar” and see how it still appears, nothing else.

I just changed themes and I can confirm this happens, no matter the theme used.

That is applied to everything, not to just that page. It has to work per page setting as the other pages do.

We have released GeoDirectory & some it’s plugins. Recent version includes some changes for Enfold theme compatibility.

Please update and if you still see issue after updates then provide a site link, admin credentials to look into more.

Thank you Kiran, this has nothing to do with Enfold. I tried different themes that let you “disable sidebar” per page (as Enfold does) and the sidebar appears in all of them. GD is inserting the sidebar even if the page has “NO SIDEBAR” active.

1- GD Details page, disable sidebar, create layout as needed, everything ok.

2- GD Archive page, disable sidebar, create layout, nothing works, sidebar is inserted and layout breaks.

That is the problem, including Version 2.0.0.67.

Themes have different functions for sidebar controls, it is not a universal feature and is handled differently for each theme.

There is a ‘plain vanilla’ implementation that we support, but if a theme deviates from that, then we simply add some compatibility code for that theme. The code is part of GDV2, and is only activated if a particular theme is activated.

So, for addressing this kind of issue, we need to know which theme is causing he issue. Are you still experiencing an issue with Enfold? And is the issue only on the GD Details sidebar?

Are you running the latest version of Enfold?

If this has nothing to do with Enfold, which other theme were you testing?

I added the other information because I tested with other themes that also have the option to disable sidebar and it happens in all of them.

Yes, I am using Enfold. Latest theme and plugin versions.

– Go to GD Details page, disable sidebar and you will see how it works fine.

– Go to GD Archive page, disable sidebar and you will see how it fails and the sidebar is inserted.
