GD compatible with any Genesis theme?

    Forgive the dumb question. Please point me to an existing thread if needed.

    I am starting to work with the GD Genesis Travel theme, but I’ve noticed that folks are using other Genesis themes.

    I’d prefer using a magazine theme if possible, such as Magazine Pro.

    Is that possible “out of the box,” or are modifications required?

    Hi,

    GD is compatible with the Genesis Framework. Travel is one of our child theme, so it works out of the box.

    For any other Genesis Child theme, we can’t guarantee that.

    It depends on the modifications the child theme author made to the templates.

    I would test them myself…

    If the child theme doesn’t revolutionize the framework templates, there should be no problem.

    By “revolutionize the framework templates” I’m guessing you mean the theme doesn’t change the GD framework templates and create errors, correct?

    hi,

    no we were talking about Genesis and Gensis child themes. If the child theme doesn’t alter the original Genesis Framework template structure too much, than it should work.
