    Hi,

I’m refering to Stiofans answer here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/not-possible-to-edit-themes-from-admin/#post-413629

I’m now a little bit supprised. What does this exacly means in general?
You will not fix these GD “features” anymore in GDv1? Then the GD-Core plugin gets or already is incompatible with WP4.9 and up.
My opinion is that this is not a good idea as I have no clue when I will be upgrading to GDv2 or when GDv2 will be stable in order to consider an upgrade.
I also observed that there is no activity in the GD-Core v1 git repository anymore. What is with the other fixes here out of the forum?

    Best,
    Dirk

Until V2 is stable and ready to be used in live sites and replace V1, we will make sure that all V1 is maintained.
It is not best practice to push out updates for every little fix made in V1, so unless there is a security issue, updates are postponed until it is worth to do so.
I’ll get Stiofan to look at your question too after the weekend.
    Thanks

I’m just wondering and concerned because I don’t see any pull request or commit to the GD Core v1 repository anymore.

    Hi Dirk,

That was already fixed in GDv1 also, its just not pushed to git yet.
GDv1 will still be supported and maintained for a long time after v2 is out, new features will not be added after GDv2 is released but GDv1 will still be supported and maintained to give people a good amount of time to plan and execute any migrations.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
