GD Listing widget does not work across CPT

    Hi,

    I use multiple GD>Listings widgets on my listing details page in GD Bottom area.

    These seem to work fine where the listings are in the same CPT (places or events) but does not seem to find them across CPT.

    Example event just shows other events – see:

    https://coastradar.com/beta/events/united-kingdom/devon/salcombe/food-drink/salcombe-crab-festival/

    Example beach just shows other places – see:

    https://coastradar.com/beta/places/united-kingdom/devon/salcombe/beaches/north-sands-beach/

    I would expect the event to be shown on the beach and for the places categories on the event.

    All the widgets have the options set:
    – show on selected pages – Listing detail
    – enable location filter
    – hide widget if no posts (I did unclick this and just diplays text no listings found)

    The location page seems to find both CPTs with no problems:

    Any clues?

    It looks like you have the ‘filter for current post type’ selected in the advanced options.

    You can try unticking that, or write back with WP admin and login url so we can check the settings.

    There are two ways to do it:

    If you have the same items/sets to feature on each CPT, then do not filter for CPT type.
    If you want to show different sets based on the CPT, then do filter for CPT.

    Hello Ian,

    I looked into this and found issue with GD listing widget when selecting sort by to nearest option for different CPT then viewing CPT.

    We will update on your site once we fix this.

    We have fixed issue, now GD Listings widget also works across CPT with sort by to nearest option.
