GD Search by Location Only

How can I make the GD search keyword or “Search for” box optional and let users leave it empty and just search listings or places by City, State, Country or Zip Code?

Search for : Blank
Near field : New York

I tried it but no results showed up. Does it mean no listings in New York?

I think the problem is when I change the “Search for” placeholder value to something else. I tried changing it to Keywords and the location box didn’t work. It keeps searching for “Keywords+Location” so no results show up.

Is this a bug?

I have the exact same problem If you leave the search for blank it comes up no results
