    Hallo,

An old issue, but I need help again.

    Old topic: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/gd-v2-custom-css/page/2/

I want to add some category icons to the homepage for the CPT “Events” and “Web”:

If you do not want the switcher, you can change the shortcode in this file:
    /wp-content/themes/supreme-directory/inc/geodirectory-compatibility.php

On about line 590, you will find a gd_categories shortcode.
You will have to add one for each CPT you have.

There is no line 590 in this file, I don’t know how to do this. 🙁

    Thanks Hendrik

The code is earlier in the file. Open it with a notepad type program and search for gd_categories to find what you are looking for.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks it’s working.

Every category in a CPT has a category-id, how can I show a special category-icon?

Edit the categories through the WP Backend to add map icon, category image, color and icon

    Hi Alex,

I want to select the categories which should be shown with the icons on the Homepage.
Not all categories from a CPT should be shown.

    Hi Hendrik,

Thanks for your reply. Choosing which category to show isn’t possible. But you can try creating a custom front page using the method here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/front/ . Then, create the category links manually and hyperlink it using HTML.
