GD V2 Near autocomplete Error?

    Hi,

    Currently when a numbers are entered within the location bar it shows overseas address that I believe are pulling from Google maps API.

    This causes a poor user experience because when post codes are searched it always comes up with overseas address when we are a Single Country Diectory.

    Ive checked all the settings and found the location filters are turned on, multi countries is not set. Everything appears to be set to One Country ( Australia )

    Please help us solve this issue.

    FYI – Enable location search autocompleter? Has always been turned on

    Searching by just numbers it is difficult to find correct address from the API lookup. But if directory is limited to country/region then you can set near address at GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Search > Search near additional. If you set Search near additional to “Australia” the near field will search results within Australia.

    Hi Alex,

    I understand that, but if it is just limited to Australian address that would be great.

    The Search Near additional has also always been set to “Australia”.

    Any other suggestions or do you think this is a bug?

    If the search is submitted, then the near search text is appended.

    We have had a couple requests for the autocompleter to be limited or targeted.

    I will ask the developers what the latest is on that subject.

    Hi Rudi,

    We have fixed issue to restrict near search within additional address location set in serach settings.

    Provide us site link, admin & FTP credentials to apply patch.

    Hi Rudi,

    Password is worked but FTP use does not have edit file permission. I can’t update file. It shows permission denied.

    Provide us full file permission.
