GD V2 search autocompleter slower and less user friendly than in GD V1?

    Hello,

    I noticed that Search autocompleter seems to be slower in GD V2 than in GD V1.

    In GD V1 autocompleter went straight to the listings. Now in GD V2 it first shows categories and then switches to listings, which I think it is slower and less user friendly since it is easy to make the wrong selection.

    Also, I wonder if including the micro-thumbnail contributes to cause this perception of slowness.

    Hello again,

    I forgot to mention that when listings are shown in the Search autocompleter, when searching by listing name, there are many more listings shown now with GD V2 than before with GD V1, when only the exact listing was shown.

    Server resources will have an impact on the speed of AJax queries like that.

    You can disable the autocompleter in the Advanced Search tab
