    Great plugin, loving V2.

I need the post_author part of gd_listings to work so I can show user’s (authors) their listings.

    [gd_listings post_type=”gd_place” sort_by=”az” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”list” post_limit=”100″ post_author=”current_user”]

This worked in the old version.

    Hi,

The developers have been alerted of your request and they-ll let us know asap when they’ll be able to fix this.

    Thanks

    Hi Alex,

This is not currently in the listings shortcode as the author page is not a pretty permalink /author/admin/places/ and has all the usual sorting and listing views as the category pages.

Have you found a use case where you would need to use the listings shortcode instead?

Yes, my site has a protected author dashboard ata specific URL. I want to put the shortcode there to show the user the logged in user their own listings. Other users cannot access this, it is a user dashboard.

If its the main loop then u can use the gd_loop shortcode.
What is ur dashbaord, custom or a plugin? We have an option to make author listings page private also.

Is there an example of using gd_loop for logged in user?

    I tried
    [gd_loop post_type=”gd_place” sort_by=”az” title_tag=”h3″ layout=”list” post_limit=”100″ post_author=”current_user”]
    and
    [gd_loop layout=”5″ post_author=”current_user”]

“No listings found that match your selection.”

It is part of a larger page so it is not the main loop?

    how about gd_listings?

Sorry for the delay, the url has no specific way to identify the user so would never work as standard, i will add a task to add this option back.

@kiran please add back the current user option in GDv2, or maybe we should add a new widget/shortcode?
