    Hi,

The GD Search bar behaves very strange and I’d like to ask if some modifications are possible.

In the first image, I’m wondering if I can remove the icon and the ‘near’ text completely from the autocomplete field.

In the second image, my search bar annoyingly likes to create a big autocomplete list of ‘In’ which posts a record of any cities saved in my backend. I’d like to completely stop this from happening if possible, as it’s just unnecessary and and annoying for users.

    Regards,
    Fraser

    Hi Fraser Johnson,

Thanks for your post. You can remove the icon and near text using custom CSS code. Could you share your Website URL here? As for your second question, you can adjust the max results as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/advanced-search/#settings

    Hi Kor,

Thanks for your response. My website url is: rentswap.com.au
Is it also possible to remove the ‘In:’ as well as ‘Near’ with css?

For the maximum results, I was hoping to fix the fact that when I clicked into the search box it would automatically suggest all of the ‘In:’ locations because they were saved in the backend from my previous test listings. For example if I put in the letter ‘D’ it would suggest all of them locations even if they didn’t start with D…and then I’d have to keep typing to remove them suggestions. It’s kind of irritating from a UI perspective…

    Thanks 🙂
